Logistics and freight solutions are usually carried out in a fast, effective and professional manner in order to satisfy the client, and the freight company’s targets. However, some packers have not quite managed to see the whole picture, and it has resulted in a number of freight fails. New Horizon Freight Solutions found our favourite freight fails in an effort to show you what is and is definitely not considered ‘best practice’.
It is important to use a freight and logistics company that you believe fits your shipment and resources. Unfortunately, sometimes those values don’t match up. To all the truck drivers out there, please remember that those height restriction road signs are put up for a reason. If your truck is taller than that bridge, you may want to avoid it! Bonus: we love ironic brand names and slogans in freight fails.
When setting up your freight solutions, we recommend checking that your boxes are marked which side should remain upward facing, are fragile and so on. It looks like this van got the wrong end of the stick and has landed up in a similar position to an upturned tortoise. We sincerely hope none of this van’s cargo was fragile!
It appears that this icy runway was built a little too close to a body of water, and that can have terrible consequences when something goes awry. Fortunately for everyone involved, the airplane only tipped its wing into the water and got squished around the middle, so the cargo should be relatively unharmed. Airplanes are certainly not aerodynamic, but not quite hydrodynamic!
Yet another cargo crossover! If you want something shipped across a body of water, we highly recommend calling a professional sea freight company. Of all our freight fails, this one appears to be the most avoidable – it looks like this driver aimed right for the riverbank! We strongly advise against mixing and matching your freighting solutions.
